Yesterday I came across an article that suggested to ”live your life so it’s a story to tell”. The basic concept of living life to the fullest has been repeated by many. The commencement address by Steve Jobs at Stanford University also suggested to Iive every day as if it were your last.
By reading this article, however, I came away with the idea that one should take opportunities when they present themselves. However, I think there was a slight undertone of doing so for others. Maybe this was unintentional, but I definitely think you should not live your life for others or to be a person with bragging rights at a party - you should take risks and new experiences only for yourself. It’s your life, and you only get one life to live.
I don’t post on here often, but I’m hoping to change that. More specifically, I hope to write more entries and comment more on things I reblog.
By writing this out like this for others to see, I hope to make myself more accountable to actually follow through with it!
This method is apparently also a good way to motivate yourself in other areas, such as exercise. Let’s see if it works! ;)
Check out the free webinar by Jen Gresham on how to find your passion (in regards to your career)! I found it very useful and enlightening.
This is the birthday card my mother gave me, complete with the rainbow stickers. When I opened it, she clapped her hands together gleefully and said “It’s the gayest card ever!” I love my mum.
